Woke up to more thunder storms and heavy rain at 15C. Will attempt a clearer pic later, if the rain stops. It was so dark when I took this (about 8am), the flash automatically went off!

Humid again. Thunder storms in the early evening with much needed rain. The 20C afternoon temperature dropped 5C with the rain.

Fabulous day. None of the humidity of the previous two days.

Early morning shower. Sunny with cloudy periods - so far.

Fabulous day all day .... finally!

Stunning light show given this evening by a few hundred fireflies in the fields around me and even some in my yard. Populations had dwindled in recent years, but the past mild, snowy winter must have reduced winter kill. Very encouraging to see so many fireflies tonight. Difficult to photograph!

After another gloomy morning, the skies finally cleared this afternoon. So good to see the sun at last!

If you look closely at a horse chestnut set of blossoms they are several different colours: yellow, pink, orange and peach

This cute little marauder is a new regular at my bird feeders in the early evening. He is not shy, hence the close up shot.

American goldfinch sitting on top of the nyger seed bird feeder shepherd's hook stand. They have a very pretty twittering call.

Brief sunny spell in otherwise cloudy day.
Will mow if things dry up after yesterday's rainy afternoon/evening.

Turned out to be a beautiful day by the afternoon. Cloudless and 22C at 6pm
