31st January

Yesterday was drizzle and rain at +8C.
It is now -8C, leaving yards and driveways, like mine, a pure sheet of ice.

I have the most wonderful neighbours who plow my lane and yard! Snow removal folk have been very busy lately with four winter storms in one week!

The tractor doesn't seem to bother the Hairy Woodpecker on the suet feeder.

Here's a new year resolution that should be fun to keep up.

I am going to take at least one photo every day of my property or immediate area every day this year. They might not get posted every day, but we'll see about that.

This idea came to me while talking to family and friends in the UK who were having a hard time imagining the degree of snow we have here right now. Yesterday we saw snow storm #7 for the season - stranding me here for New Year's Eve evening, instead of with friends in Wallace.

Hope you enjoy the changing seasons and vistas here on the Gulf Shore as much as I do.

Happy New Year,

Lisa
